A survey among 737 pilots shows that almost 90 percent believe that MAX or Boeing brand are compromised for a long time as a result of two accidents in October 2018 and March 2019 that caused the death of 346 people.

The online survey was conducted by Verb.company from March through July. Its results are analyzed in this white paper. Respondents were current or former 737 captains and first officers. Out of a total of 152 respondents, eight pilots were contacted individually by Verb while the rest received the online survey through pilots associations that agreed to distribute it among members.

“It is clear from the respondents that 88% of 737 pilots believe that the MAX or Boeing brand are permanently compromised as a result of the accidents,” says Capt. Chris Brady, author of “The Boeing 737 Technical Guide” and himself a 737 pilot, commenting on the survey results.
